Fifth chakra: what it is and how you can balance

In the throat is where the fifth chakra. Although it is very possible that you have heard of the chakras I'm going to make a small introduction about what are the chakras.

The word chakra means wheel and are energy centers that have a direct effect and deep in our life. Affect our perceptions, feelings, and decisions.

There are eight chakras, seven of them are in different parts of the physical body and the eighth corresponds to the magnetic field of the body, that is the aura.

The first three chakras are known as the lower triangle and the fifth, sixth, and seventh as the upper triangle.

The fourth chakra would be the point of balance between the two and is the one that corresponds to the heart.

The fifth chakra is the one that is associated with the throat, including the neck, shoulders, mouth, nose, and ears.

And it is the door between the mind and the heartit is where lies your true voice.

It is the center of the language, the knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively.

It represents the power and impact of the word.

When this chakra is unbalanced don't you communicate from your essence, from your truth.

This can translate into shyness, voice problems, fear of the opinions and judgments from the outside.

And on a physical level, you may have trouble throat, neck, thyroid, ears and nose.

While if you are balanced dominate the word and your communication is an inspiring and frankly, without fear of criticism or censure.

How can you balance this chakra?

The Kundalini Yoga facilitates the clearing and balancing the chakras.

And specifically for the fifth chakra and some of the possibilities are for the position of the candle, cobra, frog, camel, cat-cow, and rotations of the neck.

I'll give you 3 resources who are the floor to practice when you feel that the energy is not flowing through my throat.

1 - Sing

  2. Close your eyes and put your attention on the third eye (located in between the eyebrows)
  3. Inhale profudamente and as you exhale sings Sat Nam. By chanting Sat Nam, lengthens the Sat, make it long and end with a Nam-short: Sa to to to to to t Nam

Sings this mantra between 3 and 5 minutes every day. Use this tool to open the fifth chakra and connect with your truth.

2 - Rotations of neck

This exercise is very simple and you can do it anywhere.

  1. Close your eyes and start to turn your head as if you would want to draw a figure eight with your chin
  2. Bring your chin toward the left shoulder
  3. Hence follows the arc of the collarbone, chin until it touches the right shoulder
  4. Now straighten your head, aligning it with the back
  5. Continuous drawing the eight, it performs the same movement but it is the neck that goes straight back so that the chin is going through the air

The key is to accompany the movement with the breath. Inhale when the chin touches the left shoulder and exhale when you touch the right shoulder.

Performs the movement 26 times. Make it soft and breathing through the nose.

By putting your attention on the movement and on the number of times you repeat it all, you get to keep your mind away from the bombardment of thoughts.

You'll also notice as it relieves tension in the neck.

3 - Breathing dog

  1. Sit down with your mouth open, sticking his tongue out (as when the doctor will want to look at the throat), and begins to breathe through the mouth as does a dog, when he's hot. Breathing fast and deep, bringing attention to the diaphragm and movement of the belly button.
  2. Pumping the navel with the breath. Come out when you inhale and shoves it when you exhale.

Hold this breath for 3 minutes.

The breathing of the dog will help your body and your fifth chakra to eliminate toxins as well as to eliminate the fears, allowing you to get your authentic voice.
